Bolivia vs.Peru

Hi there there he is again .... Helmut from Peru. This post here is something special and looong, I'll answer back issues of my college. I have it structured so something:) But first some news from here again. I'm progressing pretty well in my project, my prototype of the large wind turbine is almost ready to go and estimate that I will, we can test it next week. Similarly, the staff and I always pretty much a "fun" when we are at work. The only thing we are sometimes "Zanggen" the music to be heard in the workshop, Swiss and Peruvian ... .. well I'm here now, finally, the "snack break" and the "Fürobebier" at Fritigern interspersed could ... actually it was not By setting but rather an immediate adaptation, when they heard that it is something:):) there are always some variation in between. So we have two weeks in a remote village about 2.5 hours with about 200 residents, thanks to a generous donor project from Germany in a school a solar panel installed and the first time brought electricity to this village. Also been installed in all classrooms and in the Rector's room lamps, so that they now have in the evening light. Even the Rector for his work and the teaching was given a laptop. Nice to see was really like not only the children really happy for the first time saw a laptop but even the little gestandeneren men (even a video on the laptop have shown) is very grateful, and the tears were near. Really a beautiful thing. The only "Haggen" on that day was wiedermal the local food for my stomach ;):):). Last week I had the choice, as my Imigrationsvisum had expired between an exit from Cusco to pay for my visa extension ca.60Dollar, or travel to neighboring Bolivia ... ... hhhhhmmmmm na clear Bolivia;) So I made a weekend trip to Copacabana. And I tell you I enjoyed the habs ... the hotels are relatively cheap and the food is just great! "Filet Mignion" with all the trimmings and a bottle of wine for as much as ca.10CHF .:):):). ... What was on that trip also very interesting are the differences between the two countries. Although Copacabana is located just about 15 of the border, the population is still very andersch. So were eg the Peruvian police and border guards are strict and strictly in carrying out their work, and also impressive with their machine guns. During the first thing I saw on Bolivian side a slightly overweight policeman very bored in his chair, sat down pulled his cap and had his shotgun about 2 feet away from him was:):) jaja and the first thing the border guard said in the Bolivian immigration office as he saw was that I was Swiss, "Swiss Ahh ... .. makes the case 200 Bolivianos! ".... Excuse me? I said. And he started laughing and said it was just a joke, and gave me my stamp in the passport and wished me a pleasant stay. Jaja cultures ... .. I have so one of my employees that I know now pretty well asked how his life has changed in the last ten years. And in how far the region's development impact on him. He said that in general the purchase of goods in this region was easier in the market and in the region because the Mineria here has brought to the region to a higher standard. A general burst of development has taken place. One thing that has deteriorated is corruption, which also occurs through the greater availability of money is increased. Similarly, by Mineria is also the population has grown and there is some water scarcity, and the quality of the water is not as good as earlier, caused partly by the Mineria, partly by the population and their new industry. The development in the region has changed the lives of my colleagues the extent that the enlarged business and industry, he has come to work and their own business, which would otherwise not have been possible as there had been no demand for such products. I find his view for the past few years very interesting and I share a large part of his vision. From my perspective, it is difficult to analyze for the following years for this country to make. However, it is almost the same situation in the country, those areas which lie on a major route, mineral deposits which have used or have the most attractive tourist destinations are also good financial resources and the population has a higher standard. But those who have are in the rural areas tend to no or very limited financial resources and it is hard for them to convert projects. Thus the gap between rich and poor in this country exceptionally large, and the poverty of the population is therefore not taken properly true since the ruling layer do not live in poor areas. Also a very big problem is the corruption of the very strong regional governments and the lack of control and the lack of information flow is to the population and the level of education the rural population often do not have the level has to be aware of his rights. So for me, the worst scenario in the next ten years, the prevailing corruption has become even stronger and thereby for the underclass of the population even more difficult to change his situation, except with strikes and protests against the local government. So also the educational level will not change size. The best scenario would, in my opinion, if elected by the now pending new elections, a local government that recognizes the current circumstances, and implement through good planification of the term and good information flow to the rural population, many projects can. Including the better education of the rural population. Would think for the next term the population from each candidate on its promises, but would see what projects the candidates are truly viable. Would dissolve gradually this now dominant cycle and thus would have less chance of corruption. Yes so hani now ziemli viil on Lockale gegebeheite described ... .. Jo's how it is to say is that time goes really fast and I will try in my little time left to finish the efficiency measurements of clay ovens and a variant of the larger wind turbine Sun to complete and optimize it to work and can go into "production". If the time is still kind to me and then I do something "spatzig ha" I will still try to construct a prototype of one of my slightly modified Darrieus wind turbine of which I think he would be here for this region very well suited. Yes yes .... As you can see is always a lot of ups and downs! What is certain, however, is the one for such things there is always too little time, because you always find something that you could still make. So if I have a year or longer I would with certainty the existing products and develop even a little adapting. As well as I would have new ideas for a through Steam power-generating Parabolreflektorschüssel, or a simple manner of a biogas reactor as the model of 'Lohri Christian Riuji in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania "which certainly would be interesting projects. What would certainly be necessary, however, increased marketing in and around the region Espinar, to increase their awareness. So now dänki hands neither pleasure to read them and discount promotes the nöchschte 15 Kaffipause;))) See you soon neither of you Helmut Peru
