It's planting time - and we are preparing for our small orchard with 10 varieties of fruit trees all old ... . more on that later ... here is a book about what can be very helpful for the variety of choices.
Whether only an apple tree or cherry tree will be planted - or a whole orchard - before you reach for the spade and diligently planting hole digging, you should have a closer far-reaching than the diversity of varieties of each fruit . Warn
The book is a helpful companion. The author of the book had a hard time in the countless species that there are (still) to put together a national election - unfortunately presents a lot more fruits from southern Germany - which for me, as the Northern Lights a point deduction.
scores Otherwise the book with great pictures and a very good description of the various species. We learn not only briefly the historical background, but also for what diseases, the varieties are susceptible or resistant. Location issues are resolved and whether the trees are suitable for orchards or not. Also on the various uses and the shelf life is very well informed.
replaced by short, clear any selected variety a great presentation that is also for garden novices very clearly. A book that shows that there is much more variety than what is offered to us in highly bred fruit in the supermarket. The time is ripe
again for the unforgettable Fruits of our great-grandfathers!
